Ridakh Adventures Presents
Hushe Valley · Karakoram, Gilgit-Baltistan, Pakistan
About the Trek
The village of Hushe is the last one where the jeep road ends. At the edge of Hushe Valley, magnificent views of Masherbrum (7,821m) and five large glaciers — Aling, Masherbrum, Gondogoro, Choglisa, and Tsarak sa — await.
The popular Hushe Valley offers a variety of short, easy treks, a number of not-too-technical mountaineering peaks, some interesting rock climbs, and an exciting route to the Baltoro Glacier. The way to K6/K7 Base Camp follows the north side of the Saraksa River, and the area between Spangsar and K7 BC is called the climbers’ paradise — with many peaks and impressive rock walls offering thrilling climbs. Hushe (3,050m) is the highest village in this extremely remote and improvised valley.
The villagers are environmentally conscious and work to keep their area pristine. Hushe is no longer the poorest of villages, and its popularity as a trekking and climbing destination continues to grow.
