Its elevation is occasionally reported as being around 5,850 meters, however this number is subject to revision, underscoring its formidable reputation in the climbing community.

The history of Amin Brakk Peak is associated with tales of valiant Spanish and British climbers who ventured to challenge their mettle against the steep inclines. This amazing peak was climbed in 1995 by a Spanish team who called it "Amin" after their cook. This name decision affected the climbing community in addition to paying tribute to their culinary partner.

In 1998, a British expedition also aimed to conquer Amin Brakk Peak, not to be outdone. They decided to christen the peak "Nawaz," in memory of their own chef, as a sign of unity.
